Just tried to install a counter top stove for my father in law.

His old stove had 4 wires(white, black, green, red) going to the junction box In the junction box there is 110 volts going to 4 ,20 amp single switch breakers. the stove i went to install only has 3 wires(red, black and bare).

Both stoves are 220/240 volt.

How do i make the new one work. how do i wire it or convert the power. please help...he has nothing to cook on.  confused2

Sounds to me like the old stove is 110v not 220v.
What size wire are the 20 amp breakers on.

You will need to convert the 110v over to 220v and pull new wire.
